Nurturing Healthy Minds - Digital Safety and Wellbeing

Develop a school culture of citizenship and safety around digital technologies (team workshop).

Description

While cellphones may no longer be as visible at school, we know there’s more to developing a culture of digital safety and wellbeing at kura that supports students’ learning and social/emotional development.

Digital technology can enhance and simplify our lives, but it also has the potential to overwhelm, distracand create harm. Negative online experiences for rangatahi can impact on how they feel about themselves, their friendships and relationships and even how they see the wider world.

These workshops are designed for school teams and Kāhui Ako and can be scheduled at a convenient time after school or during a teacher-only day. Delivered online with live facilitator Anjie Webster, they explore how young people are engaging online, the impact on their wellbeing and helpful strategies to build a healthy learning environment.

Designed with input from Digital Waitaha.

Group cost: $1800+gst
