Nurturing Healthy Minds - Anxiety - Workshop 1
Develop strategies to help students suffering from anxiety, including tamariki with autism.
Description
Anxiety is a normal emotion, and all tamariki experience it, however it can impact learning and the ability to participate in school life. Teachers and learning support staff can play an important role in helping learners with anxiety by making them feel safe and supported.
In these online workshops, learn the signs and symptoms of anxiety, how it may present in tamariki with autism, calming strategies, types of treatment and where to go for help.
Hosted by experienced facilitator Cat Levine, with input from Anxiety New Zealand and Autism New Zealand, these workshops are designed for teachers and learning support staff across the education system - from early childhood through to secondary schools.
Workshops for individuals are held on weekdays from 3.30-5pm.
We are also able to offer private sessions for school groups at a convenient time for your team – either during the school day or after 3pm. Private sessions can be delivered online to any school, or in person to Auckland schools. These are perfect for teacher only days or getting your team together before the start of term.
Cost
Individuals: $85 pp or $80 pp for groups of 10 or more (plus GST). Payment can be made online via credit card or via invoice direct to your school.
Private group: $2800 + gst. Contact [email protected] to book.
